It is 1975 and a young dark-haired girl unnoticed by the world…and who works serving store customers in the modest family fruit shop…
Her family migrated to Australia in mid-1960s from beautiful Italy...Gabriella works hard in the family’s fruit shop under the overbearing control of her father. She becomes depressed and introverted and isolated from the social world a teenager craves. She resents the fact her brother, Enzo, can study while she had to leave school at 15 to work. She finds she is torn living within the Italian and the Australian way of modern life.
Knowing the only way out, and to get far away from her father’s control, is to marry a better man; then Gabriella meets Aldo, an older, single Italian at the wedding of her cousin. She is swept off her feet by Aldo’s charms and looks and having fallen in love with him, they wed soon after. But it does not take long for Gabriella to realise that Aldo is not the charming man she thought he was as his anger and violence grows towards her, she becomes afraid of her husband, the man she once loved. She gains the strength to leave Aldo and begins to live her life as an independent woman. Her father is outraged and commands Gabriella to return to her husband, but she stands firm in her resolve.
And for the next part of her life, lives the life she chooses…Gabriella Campania, approaching womanhood, narrates her story.
“An intimate and emotional journey of a young woman facing her life choices…beautiful and moving…a really well told story…” Nicole, IndieBook Reviewer.

While their country prepares for war, they prepare for the battle of their lives.
The Gods have given their warning. A deadly threat will be born at the end of the ninth age and will find a divided world easy to consume. All will be destroyed in a storm of ice and fire, unless Three can be found to stand against the threat, and to bring all magical and mortal peoples together. A huntress and two runaways have been drawn together for an impossible Quest. Their world is threatened by disunity, by the growing sickness of Mother Nature, and by the ambitions of a Sorcerer who is hunting down one magical race after another.
Book one in the ‘A Fairy Tale’ trilogy…
“A magical and wonderful first book in this series and an exciting adventure for all ages to savour and be enchanted…a great new voice in the genre and a very talented author…looking forward to book two in this trilogy…” Amanda, Indiebooks reviewer.
Shelley Cass started as the embarrassed kid who needed more help than everyone else to learn to read. She still remembers the moment – the complete internal shift and awe-struck surprise – when she realised, she could make sense of it all and that entire new worlds had opened before her. As an awkward, gangly junior student, Shelley began to write her own worlds. While growing up, she always came back to her own story, where she confronted the frightening things that threaten the real world and explored the things that save it.

I do love travelling. Sometimes I think it’s an addiction and
I have to do it…
But I also want to do it and need to do it; as it’s part of keeping my body moving. In 2006 my world changed when I had to retire early from work because of multiple sclerosis (MS). I’d a successful career in the health industry and there was a lot more I wanted to achieve but had to leave. Because I wasn’t working, I had time. Managing a chronic illness takes time but I also had spare time. With that I could do more of the things that I loved, such as travelling. I also discovered that I enjoyed writing about these experiences. Travels with my scooter have often ended up with so many funny stories from things that happened, I’ve ended up with more interesting and funny times than when I travelled without it.
I cannot travel alone as I did before on my first trip overseas in 1976. I need Sue now, who is my best friend and helper these days. She travels with me everywhere and we are a great team. I’ve written this collection of travel tales of my adventures over the last forty years. Some are from when I was in my twenties and others more recently with my scooter. All of them are filled with my passion for living life and enjoying the wonderful experiences of a world I am lucky to have seen and look forward to seeing more of.
I trust you will find your own enjoyment in my sharing.
“A wonderful collection of great adventures and human spirit with the true Australian humour and flare for the absurd…a great book and read by a very real and talented author…” Dillon, Indiebooks reviewer.
“…It is a testament to the joys and surprises that
await someone who takes the plunge and just hits the road. Maureen
Corrigan is an adventurer in the truest meaning of the word. She started
her pursuit of travel after being diagnosed with MS. She is herself a
physician, which may explain in part why she didn't just curl up in a ball
and focus on things she couldn't do when she found out she had MS, but
instead focused on doing the things she had always dreamed of doing.
That’s taking lemons and opening a lemonade stand. My hat off to her
and I find myself thinking that this is a person I would love to meet…” Ray Simmons, Readers' Favorite US
For many years, Dr Maureen Corrigan was a medical practitioner who worked in a broad range of healthcare roles, from general practitioner to hospital and health S service CEO. She retired early as a result of developing multiple sclerosis (MS). Maureen is now able to pursue her many other passions, including travel and writing, which has led her to say, ‘I sometimes think getting MS was the best thing that happened to me!’

Welcome to the selected short stories from one of Australia’s newest authors in adventure fiction, written for your indulgence…
This collection will first take you on a bizarre global jaunt from England to Hong Kong, Japan and Indonesia during the Great Oil Escapade.
Then across the sea, to the Amazon jungles within a tale of
exploration and deification.
We share in the experience of four scientists researching in the farthest cold of the planet to leap from Antarctica to Jupiter and back, raising serious questions in their minds.
We chase James Banock, a purloiner of British munitions across Scotland to Norway then along a voyage across the North Sea, where action becomes life threatening as Banock’s ship explodes and sinks.
To conclude the excitement and thrills, we find the solitude of memory filled by photographs and tales, which describes the author’s car-trip around Australia in 1967 and a youth filled with freedom and the future uncertain.
Written for readers to enjoy, without EXPECTATIONS…
“A collection of adventure tales that spring from story to story without time to catch a breath…a thrill and a laugh…great collection by a talented author…thoroughly enjoyed…” William, IndieBooks reviewer.

Hovering just below the surface of Shilo Giannelli’s average existence lays an amazing spiritual power. Late one night, her world erupts with the revelation that, like her great-grandmother, she has The Gift. But the power to heal isn’t something she can share with the soccer team, her genius little sister, or her boyfriend, Kenji. Definitely not Kenji.
Deep beneath Misty Morning’s tough façade is a lifetime of abandonment, foster homes and broken dreams. When her two-year-old son is abused by her boyfriend, her fragile world shatters…until Shilo prays for Tyler, and he is healed, leaving Misty grateful but incredibly curious.
Shilo can’t give Misty the answers she needs; she only knows she has a God-given destiny, and despite facing strained relationships, impossible decisions, and the threat of being hounded day and night for her abilities, she will fulfill it.
The journey Misty and Shilo take together unites them as friends but invites danger into their lives. And it will take a miracle for these unlikely friends to elude a gang bent on revenge, keep The Gift a secret, trust God in extraordinary circumstances, and hold on to the people they love

Betrayed by her lover and left for dead, Senior Constable Ellie Marsden and her canine patrol dog leave Perth and move to the small coastal town of Trinket Bay. Time heals Ellie’s wounds, but not her heart.
When thieves break in and steal drugs from the local doctor’s surgery, she realises it’s similar to her last case back in the city. If her ex-lover is in her town; can she close the case and arrest the man who almost destroyed her?
Brennan Cole has been on the run for almost three years, leaving behind everything he’s ever known and everyone he’s ever loved. He’s never forgiven himself for betraying Ellie, but he’s in too deep to stop now.
Trinket Bay is another perfect target. The police force isn’t as prominent here, the drugs they need are easy to acquire, and its tourists provide a ready market. It’s a simple in and out before they move on to the next town. But then he glimpses the woman he still loves. Can he escape detection before it’s too late?
Or will they learn cases of the heart never grow cold?
A Nose for Trouble is a contemporary romantic suspense novella set in the fictional town of Trinket Bay in South Western Australia.

At a time of social distancing, gardens, the special bond between grandparents and grandchildren, and creative problem-solving are more important than ever!
'Grandma's Knicker Tree' celebrates all of these things. The story starts with a tree in Grandma's back garden that grows lots of different types of knickers all year round. The only knickers Grandma nips in the bud before they can fruit are old man's Y fronts and Crankypants. These are simply not allowed. Grandma shares the 'fruits' of the knicker tree with her family throughout the year, but especially at fun occasions like Christmas and family parties in the garden. One day she is horrified to find the knickers strewn all over the garden, and with Grandpa and the three grandchildren, she sets out to find the culprits. They turn out to be a family of playful possums. The local ranger humanely re-homes the possums to the bush, a net is installed to cover the tree and all is once again right with the world and Grandma’s Knicker Tree.
BACK COVER SUMMARY:
When our dads say, 'Money doesn’t grow on trees you know,' Grandma smiles and says, 'Mmm, but knickers do.'
WHAT?! Grandma’s got an underpants tree? She sure has and you know what else? It blooms all year round with all kinds of knickers to suit everyone in the family.
But one morning, Grandma finds her precious tree has been attacked, with knickers strewn all over the garden. Grandpa and the grandkids spring into
action, setting up an after dark stakeout.
Will the kids be able to stay awake long enough to find out whodunnit?
'Grandma's Knicker Tree' is a warm, lighthearted children's book emerging at a time when many grandparents are separated from their grandchildren, and backyard gardens are the only outdoor spaces afforded to those in lockdown.

Lily Miyashiro lives much as any twenty-nine-year-old in 2050’s America. Her job is busy, resettling climate refugees from the coastal cities. Then she gets a call. She has family she never knew about. And they want something from her she doesn't want to give.
Lily is one of the young—reliant on artificial intelligence and paying the price for the golden age that the old enjoyed.
David Moreland is old, and almost forgotten. Until he is drawn into the realm of the Climate Court, and now a whole generation seeks to condemn him.
When Lily and David meet, they are forced to confront events from their past they would prefer to forget. Will Lily risk unleashing her hidden demons to save David, or will she make him face the scrutiny of the Court?
This future world seems comfortably similar to the present, until hints of sinister differences begin to emerge and the stakes are raised beyond David’s fate.
In this stunning debut novel, we see a man from today and a woman from tomorrow. How will she judge him?
13

Greg Finlayson, having played in a rock band during his university days, has recently returned to the music scene, where with his teenage daughter he does improv jazz sets at local clubs. During the day, Greg consults for water authorities around Australia and the USA in fields such as desalination, integrated water management, and climate change planning.

Eighteen-year-old Isla lives in Naudiz, a historical reenactment community in a future America. Contracted by the government to perform the traditions of her Mennonite ancestors for tourists, she loves her family but wonders where life could take her.
A new schoolteacher spots Isla's potential as a CREIA cadet, making her one of many girls recruited to visit the closely guarded Library of Ages. There are rumors that girls who go to the CREIA never return, but Isla is armed with a powerful tincture from her brother's workshop and has her best friend Esme by her side.
She soon learns the dark secrets hidden in the CREIA's beautiful campus. The girls are assessed for a sinister destiny and forced to become dream addicts, forever lost in a hallucinogenic reality. When it seems there is no hope left, Isla's connection to nature and the chance at a new love reveal that the key to the future lies in the past. Sifting among the ruins, she finds herself standing up to answer the question all Citizens want to know: Where will they go as the Earth begins to heal from environmental destruction, growing into a lush land full of promise?

During a walk on the beach, Peter, an amber guild apprentice in Pomerania in the waning years of the Thirty Years War, comes upon amber entangled in a clump of seaweed and netting. Despite the severe penalties imposed on such an action, he decides to keep the pieces and works on them in secret. One he gives to his sister. Peter is drawn to the other one without understanding why. Gradually, he realizes that this piece of amber has magical powers, transporting him into a world three hundred years in the future. In dreamlike encounters, Peter witnesses the ravages of the last months of World War II in and around his home. He becomes embroiled in the troubles faced by a girl, Lioba, who seeks to escape from the oncoming Russian army. In his own time, while chafing against the rigid rules of the guild and the pressures from his family, Peter struggles with the consequences of his actions; his sister is accused of witchcraft and jailed, and the reputation of his master’s workshop is placed in jeopardy.

Motti knows that war is coming. Israel is only nineteen years old—the same age as Motti’s brave older brother, Gideon—and the tiny country is surrounded by enemies. It’s only a matter of time before Egypt, Jordan and Syria attack. Motti wishes he could join the Israeli army like Gideon and be a hero. But when his best friend’s family flees the country and his brother goes off to fight, Motti realizes this war isn’t a game. His family is in danger, and Israel’s very survival is at stake.
But hope comes to Motti in unexpected forms. In the kind Ethiopian priest who lives nearby. In his grouchy neighbor, old Mrs. Friedburg. In the young Germans who come to offer help. In his father’s childhood friend, a Jordanian man who harbors none of the hate Motti expects. Even in a scrappy stray cat that roams the bombed city without fear.
Motti knows his older brother is a hero—but through the six days of the war that will decide Israel’s fate, he discovers other heroes in surprising places. He may even be a hero himself.

Are you ready to live in a world without handshakes or hugs from anyone outside your home? What about “going to school” via your laptop in your living room? Are you taking your dance class on an iPad? These are just some of the adjustments people have had to make in trying to stop the spread of COVID-19. But what are the best ways to enjoy our lives and interact with friends without socializing in person? Readers will explore how our social lives have changed since COVID-19 began, and how some of these changes may be around for a while.

COVID-19 has shut down most people’s normal lives. But grocery stores are still open, mail is still delivered, and restaurants are offering meals via delivery. None of this would be possible without the people who are still going to work every day, exposing themselves to the virus so that others can stay home. Most importantly, healthcare workers are doing all they can—putting their own lives at risk—to treat and save those who have contracted the disease. In this book, readers will get inspired by the real-life heroes of one of the largest health crises in human history.

Thirteen-year-old Quinn and her friends can't believe their luck when spring break is extended an extra two weeks—even if it's because of some virus. But when the impact of the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic becomes apparent, everyone, not just the students, has to learn to adjust to their new reality. Quinn’s father is an ER doctor and has to self-isolate to protect his family from the virus. Isaac’s mother is the chief of police and now has to enforce new physical-distancing bylaws. Reese can’t visit her grandmother in her care home anymore. And their entire school has moved to online classes. Sacrifices have to be made to keep everyone safe, but there’s more to life than rules and scary news reports. In an effort to find some good in all this uncertainty, Quinn comes up with an idea that she hopes will bring the entire community together.

1916, the Western Front.
There are some crimes that transcend the horrors of war, and the rumour of a soldier being found in no man’s land crucified to a church door threatens to cause a mutiny in the trenches. To placate the troops, allied HQ orders four soldiers pulled from the ranks of each army to investigate the crime and bring the perpetrator swiftly to justice. What a Canadian ex-Mountie, an Australian beat cop, a constable from Scotland Yard, and their military intelligence commander discover will not only save the lives of the comrades, but may well save the entire war.
Full of factual events and historic occurrences, Golgotha looks into one of the darkest events to occur during the First World War.
13
Born in 1969, Phil likes to point out he was one of the last children born before man walked on the moon. Working at Australia’s National Dinosaur Museum since 2000 and as an educator at the Australian War Memorial since 2006, he has previously worked at Questacon Science centre and could be seen haunting the halls and specimen rooms of London’s Natural History Museum and The Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History. Here he even played famed palaeontologist O. C. Marsh during the Smithsonian’s centenary celebrations, and when asked why the 19th century palaeontologist was speaking with an Australian accent, happily pointed out that everyone on the 19th century spoke with an Australian accent.
Published in newspapers and magazines across the globe, since 2007 Phil has been the paleo-author for the world’s longest running dinosaur magazine, The Prehistoric Times. He has also been a comic shop manager, a cinema projectionist, a theatre technician and gutted chickens for a deli. All of these influences seem to make an appearance in his writing, especially the chicken guts bit.
